The social world is a stage with an audience, actors and outsiders, with seats for the spectator and an existing setting. Only those who believe in their roll can authentically depict it and awaken the interest of curiousonlookers, thereby fulfilling the expectations of the viewer. Dramaturgy and mystification form the design in the making of an appearance, in public as well as private spheres, within which not the real or the authentic is sought out, but rather the phrasing of the Real and the staging of authenticity.
